Create a Web extension​

This guide introduces how to create a POS Web extension link for your app. Once the link is created, merchants can directly access your app within the SHOPLINE POS.

Prerequisites​

Before you get started, make sure that you meet the following requirements:

• You have created a development store.
• You have created a public app in the Partner Portal.

Procedures​

Configure the Web extension link for your app by the following steps:

1. Log in to the Partner Portal.
2. Go to Apps.
3. Click the name of your target app.
4. Find and click App extension.
5. Click Create an extension.
6. Find and click the POS tab.
7. Click the POS Link card.
8. Complete the following information:
   1. App extension name: The app extension name, which is used only for extension management and will not be displayed to the merchant.
   2. Link name: The app name displayed on the SHOPLINE POS.
   3. URL link: Your app link.
   4. Page with link displayed: Based on the app function and use case, select the display location in SHOPLINE POS. If you choose the workbench page, merchants can find your app on the SHOPLINE POS workbench. Possible display locations are as follows:
      • Workbench page
      • Payment success page
      • Order details page
      • Payment method selection page
      • Shopping cart page
      • Product variant selection page
   5. Display type: Select whether your app displays in full screen or as a pop-up on SHOPLINE POS. Possible types are:
      • Modal: display in a pop-up window
      • Fullscreen: display in full screen
9. Click Create.
